This summer I am finally taking 45 days off school and work to travel the US. I am planning a road trip to visit some of the top National Parks in the US.

My trip planning all starts with an app called Roadtrippers. It is a great app that lets travelers plan their trip with great ease. It does all the heaving thinking for you, it calculates the time, gas money and millage of your trip. The only thing you need to do is tell the app where you want to go. To add some interest into your trip, Roadtrippers will tell you points of interest along your way. For example, it will tell you were the closest lodging, food or even best site seeing along the way in a 10 – 30 mile radius of your route.

My Destinations for My Upcoming Road Trip:

Start: Cincinnati, OH

1.Brown vs Board of Education, KS

2.Rocky Mountain, CO

3.Red Rock Park and Amphitheatre, CO

4.Colorado National Monument, CO

5. Arches, UT

6. Zion National Park, UT

7. Zion – Angels Landing, UT

8. Zion – the Narrows, UT

Once you have your destinations there are a handful of things you need to remember:

First, remember to have the most fun during your trip you need to keep an open mind and be able to go with the flow from time to time. It is okay if you don’t plan every detail out.

Second, you will need to create a bud

get for your travels and stick to that budget. You can use an app called Trawel Budget Planner, that helps you stick and stay to your budget. Keep in mind, your budget should include gas (your highest cost), food (second highest cost), lodging, fun money, and other hidden costs.

Third, remember you will be in the car for long periods of time, so it will be important to be entertained. It is a good idea to bring a couple audiobooks, make some road trip CDs, play some good old car games, and maybe download a podcast or two.

Last, before you go you need to find that perfect co-pilot, remember you will be spending 45 days straight together. So, make sure you pick wisely!
